It's Showtime: How to Register for the 2023-2024 CENTERSTAGE presented by RTX

Step 1: Registration Opens

Registration officially opens, and here’s the catch – you need to register with both FIRST Inspires and FIRST Chesapeake to make your way into the CENTERSTAGE. This is the first spotlight moment for your team, and it’s crucial to be in the game. Mark your calendars because on September 1, 2023, FIRST Chesapeake Registration swings open. This registration opens the door for you to participate in not one, but two FTC Qualifiers during the CENTERSTAGE season. It’s your chance to shine!  

Step 2: Qualifier Selection Planning

Once you’re registered with FIRST Inspires and paid, you’re ready to roll with FIRST Chesapeake. Remember, your team won’t be assigned to an event until you’ve completed both registrations. It’s like getting your ticket for the show and then choosing your seats.  

Step 3: Qualifier Selection I – September 18, 2023

The suspense builds as we release half of the available seeds per Qualifier on September 18, 2023. You’ll have two weeks to select one Qualifier where your team will compete. It’s like selecting your co-star for this epic performance. Event Selection closes on Monday, October 2, at 5 pm. Keep an eye on your notifications because your head coaches will receive news of your first placement during the week of October 2.  

Step 4: Qualifier Selection II – October 16, 2023

The second act begins on October 16, 2023, with the release of the remaining half of the available seeds per Qualifier. You again have two weeks to select one Qualifier. It’s like picking your wardrobe for the big show. Event Selection for this round closes on Monday, October 30, at 5 pm. And, once again, your head coaches will be in the spotlight as they receive notifications of your second placement during the week of October 30.  

Step 5: Locked In – November 13, 2023

By November 13, 2023, you’ll be locked in for the journey ahead. Teams will be allowed to trade events during the week following the initial placement. So, if you’ve got your eye on a different stage, now’s the time to make your move! Trading may take place during October 9-13 for Event Selection I and during November 6-10 for Event Selection II. Your head coaches will receive the final confirmation of both event placements during the week of November 13. And there you have it! The stage is set, and the countdown to the 2023-2024 CENTERSTAGE presented by RTX has begun. Get ready to raise the curtain on design, creativity, and precision like never before.
