FIRST Chesapeake refund policy for January-May 2021 Events: If a FIRST Chesapeake FRC event is cancelled by FIRST Chesapeake, FIRSTHeadquarters, or the local health department, the team will receive a 50% refund of any event fees paid directly to FIRST Chesapeake. Teams may also choose to attend another FIRST Chesapeake FRC event during this period in lieu of a refund, if space is available.
FIRST Chesapeake is a charitable foundation under IRS Code 501(c)(3). From time to time, we have been asked to pass-through grants to local teams to reimburse them for expenses incurred. FIRST Chesapeake cannot provide tax advice and encourages the recipient to consult their accountant regarding the proper declaration of monies received as income when reviewing this agreement.
