We Design it, Build It, Drive It, and Win it!

This was inspired by the paper airplane game, with the letters inspired by origami. My design represents creativity and youth, with imperfection and a bit of immaturity to show the values of FIRST. Us robotics teams aren’t just made of intelligent young inspiring builders, but creative peers who strive for success; my design is reaching for the stars, and I want this colorful design to uplift my fellow competitors and remind them that it’s okay to make mistakes. FTC is more than just robots 🙂

In my artistic journey, I continually seek to merge the realms of technology and creativity, fusing the artificial with the expressive. My latest creation, a t-shirt design featuring a futuristic disco ball, is a testament to this endeavor. This wearable piece of art serves as a bridge between the nostalgia of the disco era and the contemporary spirit of innovation and self-expression. The disco ball represents a time when humanity was ready to dance, let loose, and bask in the glow of radiant lights and infectious rhythms. In my design, the disco ball is not just a relic of the past; it's an emblem of euphoria and progress, powered by robotic technology. With my design, I aim to ignite a sense of nostalgia, celebration, and technological ingenuity. It is a celebration of the disco era's energy and the potential of our future, encouraging you to express yourself boldly and unapologetically in the age of robotics. So, let the robo-disco ball on your chest remind you that you are the architect of your own fusion dance party, and life is a dance of human creativity and technological marvels, one electrifying moment at a time.

I aimed to encapsulate many of CENTERSTAGE's themes in the geometries and content of my design. This year's main game element, a pixel, was the basis of the structures, and the center "pixel" is a stage. I wanted to reflect FIRST in the color scheme so each pixel is outlined with the color corresponding to the color of the shapes of the FIRST logo.

When I think of Centerstage, the first thing that comes to my mind is standing on a huge stage, facing an audience, with all the lights on me. This correlates with the theme for this years FTC 23-24 seasons theme because to me this years challenge includes being creative and thinking outside of the box. Through my design I hope to fully capture the essence of what Centerstage means to me, as well as create a captivating, original design.
