Financial Guarantor & Tax Exempt Updates for FIRST Canopy

The payment process has changed. You MUST RE-UPLOAD your financial guarantor and tax exempt information if your team qualifies as a tax exempt entity (schools, nonprofits, etc). You will need a Tax Exempt form and a W9 to upload. Teams who are not tax exempt do not need to follow this process

You cannot complete the payment process for your team until your Financial Guarantor is approved. This process has been taking 10 or more business days.

Follow the steps below to set up your financial guarantor: 

1. Sign into your FIRST Dashboard

2. Under Team List, select your team

3. Select Team Finances and Expand All

4. Follow the steps under Financial Guarantor to search or add your Financial Guarantor to your account. Upload your Tax Exempt form and W9 when prompted.
