In-home care services how they are actually structured

Not sure if anyone else ran into this, but I recently had to look into options for helping an older relative stay at home, and it turned out more complex than expected. When I started digging into In-Home Care Services, I realized there isn’t just one type of support but several layers of it. At some point I came across something described as a reliable agency in Philly, and it helped me understand how these services are grouped. There seem to be separate areas for daily assistance, like helping with routine tasks and maintaining the home. Then there are other sections focused on more specific needs depending on a person’s condition. I also noticed that everything is organized around keeping people in their own homes rather than moving them elsewhere. Still trying to figure out how people decide which type of care is actually the right starting point.
