Discovery Center at Water's Edge Preview Center

*Note - building shared with the US Post Office*

* Note - parking at the facility is very limited and shared with the Post Office. We encourage carpooling. If the lot is full, there is plenty of parking farther down Rt 40 at 4690 Millennium Dr at the back of the lot near the highway, with a shuttle running between the two, or a short walk through the woods on the gravel pathway.

Schedule:

~ 11-12 - Meet other teams, learn about APG research, get some lunch

~ 12-1:00 - FTC 2024 Season Challenge Reveal

~ 1:00-2:00 - Meet the Field, Q&A with FIRST Chesapeake Ref

We will additionally be having a team collaboration and strategy session  from ~1:30-5pm in the same space. Please go HERE to register:

After the 2024 FTC Season Challenge Reveal (link HERE to register), students and mentors will have the opportunity to work together to discuss ideas of how to address the challenge. Students will work in collaboration breakout groups to address different parts of the challenge.

Groups are not necessarily your team - the intention is to have interaction and feedback with fellow students from across the region.

We will have multiple group session periods, with each working group returning to the larger group to relay some thoughts and ideas. Whiteboards, paper and various drawing utensils will be available.

Feel free to bring your own props and utensils!

Food: We will have food for lunch and snacks available for purchase, but details are TBD. We will not be taking orders in advance, but to ensure we estimate the proper amount to have on hand, please indicate your intentions below. Lunch will likely be ~$5 and snacks ~$1 each.

We will send an email with an additional information prior to the event.
