Key Responsibilities
Training
Participate in training sessions provided by FIRST Chesapeake
Event Planning
Complete all planning guide checklist items by deadlines set by FIRST Chesapeake staff.
Regularly communicate with Site Liaison, Volunteer Coordinator, and Key Volunteers.
Coordinate event planning meetings with the event planning committee.
Attend regular update meetings with FIRST Chesapeake.
Serve as the primary resource for event planning questions.
Event Execution
Manage event setup and verify that event is setup per the Production Plan.
Execute morning meetings with lead volunteers each event morning.
Oversee all aspects of event execution, from setup to takedown.
Produce opening and award ceremonies per FIRST and FIRST Chesapeake guidance.
Ensure smooth event flow and address any issues that arise on-site.
Post Event Reporting
Complete Post Event report.
Identify and document needed replacement or repair of supplies and equipment, areas for improvement, and make recommendations for future events.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Prior experience with FRC or FTC (both preferred).
Strong understanding of FTC and/or FRC event processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to remain objective and ensure process implementation.
Willingness to travel for competitions.
Work Conditions
Remote and In Person Events during the active season beginning in September and ending in April.
Compensation
Stipend - $1000 per FRC event, $500 per FTC event
