REMINDER: Pre-Inspection Sheet
Complete your pre-inspection PRIOR to coming to your event. This will help prevent event delays and prevent you from missing your first match.


REMINDER: Consent and Release Forms
All members (students, mentors, and volunteers) attending an event must sign the FIRST Chesapeake online consent and release BEFORE checking in to the event.
  • The form can be found here - 
  • Everyone must fill out the form for EACH event they attend- so go ahead and do them all at once.
  • It is easy to complete via a computer or cell phone.
  • We no longer collect or accept paper documents so it must be done electronically prior to check in at the event where you will be issued a wristband in order to attend.
Swapping new team members in during the event is strictly prohibited. Any team caught doing this will be disqualified and asked to leave the venue.
REMINDER: Judging Schedule 
  • Judging for your team will take place the opposite weekend day from your competition.
    • So if you compete on SATURDAY you will be judged on Sunday. if you compete on SUNDAY you will be judged on Saturday.
  • All judging is remote. Mentor #1 will receive login info to their email. Mentor #1 needs to share this with the team members.

Notable dates:

  • FTC Championship schedule will be sent out to qualifying teams no earlier than Monday, Feb 14th
  • FIRST Chesapeake FRC volunteer positions in FIRST Inspires should be available for sign up Monday, Feb 14th


We will share more detailed information about the Championships as soon as we can. Many questions depend on rules and restrictions of the venue and locality.

This year FIRST Chesapeake is providing electronic programs for FIRST Robotics Competition events.

The electronic programs will be posted every Friday on the public event pages.


GEARED Up Robotics is an affordable and engaging robotics program for 5th-8th grade students over six Saturday mornings. Students use a kit of parts and participate in weekly activities to build and program their own robot, which they get to keep. Students gain valuable hands-on experience with STEM concepts such as mechanical engineering and coding.

When: Saturdays, 10am-12pm, Feb 19-March 26.
Cost: $213
Students must attend all sessions and masks are required. Sessions are led by a trained instructor and all materials and tools are provided. Hosted in partnership with The Collaboratory of Virginia at UTurn and FIRST Chesapeake.
