Next week tune in to the FIRST Robotics Competition awards ceremony on MONDAY at 6:00pm! (YES this is a date change from Tuesday)

This ceremony will be for the FIRST Chesapeake Greater DC #3 events.

Dear FIRST Chesapeake Family,
Do you know of an outstanding FTC or FRC volunteer who should be recognized at the FIRST Chesapeake Championships Sponsored by Newport News Shipbuilding? Here's your chance to share their story!
The past two years have brought out the best in so many FIRST Chesapeake volunteers that it would be impossible to recognize just one "Volunteer of the Year" at the Championships in Hampton, Virginia. Instead, FIRST Chesapeake has created a special award celebrating the outstanding contributions of (up to) five FTC and/or FRC volunteers. This award recognizes a volunteer who has gone above and beyond to support the mission of FIRST Chesapeake. The nominee can be a rookie or a veteran. Volunteers can be nominated by another volunteer, a team member, or a coach/mentor. Nominated volunteers must be associated with the FTC and/or FRC programs in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia during the 2021-2022 competition season.
The award includes recognition by the FIRST Chesapeake staff and board of directors at the Championship, an announcement on FIRST Chesapeake social media platforms and the FIRST Chesapeake Championships webpage, and a limited edition Gold Circle volunteer pin awarded to each volunteer selected.
Applications will be accepted until 5pm on March 31st, 2022. The winners will be announced at the end of the FIRST Chesapeake District Championship Sponsored by Newport News Shipbuilding awards ceremony on Saturday, April 9th. Please consider nominating someone who has made a difference for your team, program, or wider community this season.
