Beginning July 1st, 2016, teams who applied for funding using VirginiaFIRST/FIRST Chesapeake as their designated 501c3 would be charged 9% of the total funds awarded. This fee was approved by the FIRST Chesapeake board to cover accounting and grant management fees.

If you are interested in applying for funds and using VirginiaFIRST/FIRST Chesapeake as your designated 501c3, please let VirginiaFIRST/FIRST Chesapeake know that you are applying. This will ensure that any awards will be disbursed to the appropriate team in a timely manner.

NOTE: The 9% administrative fee does not apply to grants awarded to teams as pass through funds from FIRST Headquarters through VirginiaFIRST/FIRST Chesapeake and select competitive grants awarded to teams by specific VirginiaFIRST/FIRST Chesapeake sponsors.
