We are pleased to announce the award of FIRST Tech Challenge grants by Newport News Shipbuilding. Funding was localized to teams in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia for the 2017-18 FTC competition season.

NNS is again working with FIRST Chesapeake to support the FIRST Chesapeake District Competition, March 16-17, 2018, at Churchland High School.

Newport News Shipbuilding is a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries and is the nation's sole designer, builder and refueler of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and one of only two shipyards capable of designing and building nuclear-powered submarines. The shipyard is also home to the nationally recognized Apprentice School that has graduated over 10,000 students in its 96-year history.
