Description: The position will actively recruit, cultivate, and train volunteers for all FIRST Chesapeake programs. This position will also work closely with the Director of Programs and local volunteer committees to plan and execute FIRST Chesapeake FTC and FRC competitions. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Director of Volunteer and Community Engagement will strive to provide excellent and gracious customer service to all FIRST staff, volunteers, teams, sponsors and the general public.
This is a contracted 1099 position through June 30th, 2022, with the opportunity to extend the contract with additional responsibilities for 12 months beginning July 1st, 2022. Weekend and evening work is required during the competition season (January-April). Estimated time to fulfill the duties of this position are between 30 and 35 hours per week. Generous vacation package including very limited summer hours beginning June 1st, 2022. Compensation: $35,000-$50,000 annual compensation based upon experience.
